Exam Preparation (3 Days) Course Description:
PMP certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI®) demonstrates that you have achieved the highest levels of accomplishment in the field of project management. The PMP candidate must provide PMI with detailed educational and professional history, demonstrating a minimum number of years of professional project management experience linked with educational background. Finally, candidates must take and pass a 4 hour, 200 question PMP certification exam. This course is intended to help you prepare for PMI’s PMP Exam. (Note that the course is designed to help students pass the exam, and not to provide detailed instruction in project management.) Courseware from RMC Project Management, considered by many to be the best in the business, provides a thorough overview of the key project management principles and formulas that are needed to pass the PMP exam, along with test taking tips. Throughout the three day course, students will answer sample test questions and participate in other exercises. It is ideal for busy professionals who want to pass the exam as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Intended Audience:
Project managers, program managers, project portfolio managers, project leaders, project team members and operational and functional managers who have led or directed a project team.
Prerequisites:
It is strongly recommended that students take the three-day Introduction to PMI’s “A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)” course prior to taking this course. In addition to the prerequisites mentioned above, PMI requires that participants have 35 contact hours of project management education. This three-day course will count as 24 contact hours.
