Exam Preparation (3 Days) Course Description:
PgMP certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI®) demonstrates a high level of expertise in both project and program management. Candidates for this certification, per PMI, “ensure the ultimate success of the program; modify programs and make decisions that advance strategic and business objectives; define and initiate projects and assign project managers; and oversee multiple projects.” They must provide PMI with detailed educational and professional history, demonstrating a minimum number of years of experience in both project management and program management, linked with educational background. Finally, candidates will go through a three step evaluation process: application review, certification exam (4 hours, 170 questions) and multi-rater assessment. This course is intended to help you prepare for PMI’s PgMP Exam. (Note that the course is designed to help students pass the exam, and not to provide detailed instruction in project and program management.) Courseware provides a review of essential facts to know regarding project and program management, key definitions and points to memorize for the exam, case studies, and practice exam questions with detailed explanations.
Intended Audience:
Project Management Professionals (PMPs), project managers, program managers, project portfolio managers, and according to PMI, “those who manage programs that contain complex activities that span functions, organizations, geographic regions and cultures; build credibility, establish rapport and maintain communication with stakeholders; possess advanced skills in finance, cross-cultural awareness, leadership, influence, communication, negotiation and conflict resolution.”
